Isotope: Silber kommt als Gemisch zweier Isotope vor 107Ag, Atommasse 106.906 u und 109Ag mit der Atommasse von 108.905 u. Wieviel Prozent Anteil hat jedes Isotop? Berechnung nur bis zu dem Punkt, bis die Gleichung nur noch eine unbekannte Grösse aufweist.

- Isotop II: 109Ag, 108.905 u, y %
- x % + y % = 100 %
- y % = 100 % – x %
- PSE: m(47Ag) = 107.8662 u
- x·106.906 u + (1-x)·108.905 u = 107.8662 u
- nicht verlangt, aber als Übung, nach x auflösen ergäbe einen Wert von 51.966% für das Isotop I
und 48.034% für das Isotop II
