The following results of an elementary analysis are given: 12.79%. H 2.15%, the rest is bromine
- What is the sum formula
- Draw the molecule based on the sum formula.
- How could this be expected? NMR the (both!) structures?
Lösung: Note to the percentages: these are always mass percentages. Let's go from 100 Gram of substance
- Adopted 100 Grams, therefore 12.79 g C, 2.15 g H and 85.07 g Bromine
- n(C) = 12.79/12 = 1.07 mol ≈ 1 mol
- n(H) = 2.15/1 = 2.15 mol ≈ 2 mol
- N (Br) = 85.07/79.9 = 1.07 mol ≈ 1 mol
